Dear Parents Venice Pre-K screening for 3 & 4 year old children for the 2023-2024 school year will be held at the Venice Elementary School, 544 Niedringhaus Ave, Granite City, Illinois, 62040. Screenings will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 3:00pm - 7:00pm and Friday April 21, 2023 from 9:00 am to 12:00pm. Please call Mrs.Vanee Williams @ 618-274-7953 to make a screening appointment

By working together, we can make sure that your child’s test experience is positive and successful. Here are some suggestions that you can do to help your child succeeds: • Make sure your child gets a good night’s rest. • Have your child eat a healthy breakfast at home or in the cafeteria at school. • Make sure that your child arrives to school on time. • Gently encourage your child to do their best. Can you believe we are almost finished with the 3rd Quarter? This means it is time to prepare for our Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences. Our Parent/Teacher Conferences are a time for parents/guardians to meet with teachers to discuss each child's academic progress and strategies for continued growth as we complete the school year. Our Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm, and Friday March 17, 2023 from 8:30am-12:00pm pm. Conferences are now in-person as we look forward to sharing examples of your child's school work while discussing their report card. Thank You for your cooperation.
