Hello, this is DeMario Bell. I am honored to introduce myself as the new Principal of Venice Elementary School. With over 25 years of experience as a principal, I am excited to be the new Principal of Venice Elementary School. I am looking forward to meeting everyone at our Back to School Event on August 8th from 9 AM to 1 PM at the school.
Kindergarten through Grade 8 students first day of school is Tuesday, August 11 with an 11:30 AM dismissal. Pre-Kindergarten's first day of school is August 13.
It's time to register your child for school for the 2026-2027 school year! School registration will be held on Tuesday, August 4 and Wednesday, August 5 at Venice Elementary School from 9 AM to 12 PM! Students can't start school without being registered. We are looking forward to seeing you!

This is a Back to School Event you will not want to miss! On Saturday, August 8 from 9 AM to 1 PM in the school parking lot, we will have our Back to School event that will include games, inflatables, food, DJ and more! We hope you can attend!
Does your child need a school physical, immunizations, or sports physical? Madison County Health Department will be at Venice Elementary during School Registration on Wednesday, August 5th from 9 AM to 12 PM to give physicals and immunizations. Mark your calendar to attend to complete your child's registration and physical. Thank you.

The Venice Elementary Talent Show was a huge success! Hit performances included Six in the Mix, the Gymnastics Twins, Scuba, and Candy Rain. ✨️
This week our school kicked off the KINDNESS CHALLENGE. Students can earn a "kindness referral" from any staff member in the building for showing kindness by their actions or words. Students are then are recognized daily at morning assembly, given a kindness bracelet and their referral is displayed in the main corridor as we begin to create the word KIND with the referrals we receive. I love seeing all the good things are students are doing! Keep up the good work Venice Elementary!! Keep the kindness going!

School will not be in session for Spring Break beginning Thursday, April 2 through Monday, April 6. Students and staff will return to school on Tuesday, April 7. Have a great Spring Break!

This past December, in collaboration with our superintendent, Dr. Tolbert, and the middle school teachers, our 8th grade teacher, Mrs. Atkins, nominateed 8th grade student, Tamayja Brown for the Racial Harmony Award. We were notified in January that Tamayja had been selected for this honor! A beautiful ceremony, The Gathering, was held Sunday, February 22, 2026, and Tamayja was presented with her award. Tamayja was accompained and celebrated by her mom, Dr. Tolbert, and Mrs. Atkins. Please take a moment to help us congratulate this young woman and her achievement. Tamayja was one of 56 area students to receive this award. Way to go Tamayja!
Our Middle School students have been busy preparing for the upcoming Black History Month Gallery Walk. Pictured here with a bonus research project featuring amazing individuals and how their contributions impact our lives today. We hope you will join us this Tuesday to see the finished banner and all of the students’ fantastic work!
